We are seeing a change in world opinion about Israel. No longer can Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinian people be lied about and brushed under the carpet as if they are not happening. Gaza has shown the world the true face of the Israeli occupation.
Great thanks are due to the you, the students of St. Andrew’s University for upholding the right to survive of the Palestinian people, for protesting massive theft of land and water resources from the rightful owners, and for condemning Israeli human rights violations. These violations are tied up with money interests. It is good to know that there are those, such as the students of St. Andrew’s, who refuse to be silent, lethargic and complacent about crimes against the Palestinian people.

Well done – The actions of Israel in Gaza have been so cruelly indiscriminate and so grotequely disproportional that they must also be illegal under international law. It is also counter-productive, raising hatred and disgust around the world . The politics of constant retaliation (on both sides) lead only to disaster

CONGRATULATIONS!
I applaud your action and offer you my wholehearted support.
I visited the West Bank recently with my daughter, who is a student at Stirling University. We saw for ourselves the daily cruelty of the illegal Israeli occupation. We have both been very active in our work for peace and justice for Palestinian people ever since.
The horror of Gaza was not an aberration, merely a temporary escalation of Israel’s routine persecution of Palestinian people.
I was myself a student at St Andrews in the early 80s, a time when student activism was still strong. I am delighted to see that you have ended decades of apparent student inaction by stepping up to the mark and taking direct, non-violent action to protest at what I regard as the most glaring injustice on the face of the earth.
Once again, I congratulate you and, as a St. Andrews graduate, I hope you won’t feel patronised by this old git if I tell you that your action makes me feel proud!

Well done. Your action is an inspiration. Here in Cork, Ireland a lot of action was taken during the height of the conflict in Gaza. One problem always was that people floundered for some meaningful act of solidarity that would be more than just ‘a march on Saturday afternoon’. What you have done and are showing it how the issue can be taken much further … in a positive and challenging way. The European Communist Youth Organizations on the imperialist war in Gaza Strip
The European Communist Youth Organizations strongly condemn the air-strikes
and the ground invasion of Israel that brings a new huge massacre of
innocent Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This savage and bloody strike
that has caused hundreds of dead and thousands of wounded Palestinians
couldn’t be operated without the total support and endorsement by the US, EU
and NATO.
Imperialist forces are promoting the plan of the New Middle East that brings
more profits to the multinational enterprises and death, blood, poverty and
hunger to the peoples.
We denounce the challenging and hypocritical statements of the EU that try
to keep positions like those of “equidistance” and “impartiality,” an EU
that has recently upgraded its official relations with Israel rewarding for
their slaughter in Palestine, considering Palestinian resistance in many of
its resolutions as terrorists.
This imperialist war it is not an affair only of Palestinians. It is an
issue of all the peoples that aim to its sovereignty and self-determination.
We call all the young people of Europe, young workers, students of schools
and universities to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people
against the imperialist war and exercise any pressure to our countries’
governments in order to denounce this imperialist war.
We demand and we will promote youth initiatives of practical and energetic
solidarity in our countries in order: that the imperialist war in Gaza is
stopped immediately, Israeli troops to be withdrawn, for the immediate end
of the siege and blockade of the, the demolition of the Wall of Shame and
the establishment of an independent State of Palestine within the borders of
1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. Free and independent Palestine!
There is no lasting peace in capitalism, only the path of construction of
socialism will ensure for the youth and the people, a world of peace and
