You see, the cowardice withdrawal disguised in the "Victory" claim just can make people laugh at you as Baron Von Munchhausens.

The campaign was doomed and failed, miserably failed, not only in making the conservative institution to concede, in the slightest sense, its complicity with the war criminals and try to compensate the deeds, but also on ethical ground. It showed the extent to which some self-esteemed "radical left" or "direct action" gurus (elephants of the group) were ready to resist for the cause, when action was needed more than words.

Let's wait and see how this "pragmatic" and "non-counter-productive" decision of the polite political kids will change the course of the uni's "business as usual".

Um, guys, you lost. Much like Hamas: victory claimed and pointless posturing to hide the fact. The 'new left', gotta love them!

From the Univeristy:

'We respect and defend the rights of individuals to make peaceful
protest. Our neutrality however remains non-negotiable. We seek to
create, foster and defend a non-threatening, open society dedicated to
study and academic research. We will not support any political cause
over another.'

But of course, the uni has met all your demands, as its a victory, right?

Defeat!

The University states: "We believe that all the issues should have been raised, and could have been resolved, through the existing processes of dialogue between the Students Association and the University, which we continue to value as proper, democratic, fully representative of the student body, and accountable to it."

This occupation was a needless exercise in self publicity. Congratulations on your victory, though I fail to see how you can even begin to claim one.
